Next month marks the highly anticipated 20th Edition of the annual Roast And Rhyme event. Themed “Reggae Ragga Nyam Nyam,” this first edition of 2024 promises a day filled with top-tier reggae and ragga performances.
Swangz Avenue, the event organizers, have announced that the upcoming edition will take place on March 3rd at Jahazi Pier Munyonyo, starting at 11 am. This timing allows attendees to immerse themselves in the serene lakeside ambience while enjoying vibrant live music and a communal barbecue experience.
Over the past eight years, Roast And Rhyme has served as a platform for showcasing Uganda’s music scene, featuring over 100 artists and attracting more than 50,000 attendees.
The organizers aim to celebrate Uganda’s diverse music culture in this edition, showcasing an eclectic mix of reggae, Afrobeat, Dancehall, and local Ugandan music. The event will highlight a blend of established and emerging musical talents, reflecting the country’s rich musical heritage.
